What is This “Badge” I Got With my Medal?
Your Adirondack Marathon medal is a new kind of medal! The front of your medal has a custom-made, removable badge that snaps onto our hats.
This is the perfect way to wear your accomplishment long after you've crossed the finish line!
Why is This so Special?
Because it’s not just another medal in a drawer (and you don’t need another race shirt!). Our badge system lets you build your running journey one race at a time—and wear it with pride on every run. It’s a fun, meaningful way to celebrate your achievements and inspire new ones.
How Does This Work?
Each badge from PR Running Hats uses our patent-pending badge system. Your ADK badge pops off your medal and snaps right onto your hat—easy as that! To wear it, simply remove the backing, insert the badge's peg into one of the hat's holes, and secure it with the backing. You can swap in badges from other races too, so your hat becomes a record of your achievements!
Do I Need a PR Hat to Use This Badge?
While you're welcome to collect and display the badges on their own, the best way to wear your accomplishment every day is with one of our hats. The badge and its patent-pending snap system are designed to fit our hats perfectly. This ensures a secure fit on every run!
We can't guarantee they will fit or not cause damage if used on other hats.

Absolutely. Our snap system is designed for runners. The badge will stay securely in place, no matter if you're out on the trails or training on the track. We've put our snap to the test to ensure your accomplishment stays put.

This special medal was created by PR Running Hats in partnership with the Adirondack Marathon. We’re an East Village-based small business founded by two runners (and partners in life!) who believe that your hard-earned accomplishments deserve to be worn proudly—not just left in a drawer!
